Hi and thanks for dropping in. I am a professional photographer and I've enjoyed an incredible career spanning 38 years. As well as photography, For several years now, I have been managing clients creative requirements. This has included creation of websites, managing social media and working with regional media outlets to get news, events and causes into the public domain.

As around 50% of the work I now do is in this vein it is time to change my message, and so my business now has two parts - Newbold Photography, which includes introducing other local photographers to meet demand, and NewBold PR & Media - basically all the new stuff! To find out more - follow my feeds and watch it develop. (back in the day that was done in a dark room!)

Andy Newbold Photographer: Tales of a Celebrity Snapper

Took place on Thursday 22nd January at Pippbrook House, Dorking - 7.30pm

SOLD OUT SHOW WAS A BIG SUCCESS AT A GREAT NEW VENUE.

I am delighted to say that my first ticketed talk which was held at the newly established 'Pippbrook House' venue (which is part of Dorking Halls) was a big success. The talk which was attended by around 90 people, was the pilot of potentially more in different locations and featured stories, anecdotes, video clips and a surprise guest appearance from the legendary comedian - Bobby Davro. For me personally it was an emotional evening as friends from Scotland, Hastings, Hampshire and Surrey came along to support me and despite the nerves I managed to raise a few laughs and have had wonderful feedback which is helping me to fine tune the talk for future venues, I learned greatly from the experience and once it is trimmed down a bit, (it did overshoot its allotted time), I hope to take it on the road.
A huge thank you goes out too to the support team from Dorking Halls - Dan and Nicola Joyce, Kayleigh Arunasalon and Phil Wessell who made everything run smoothly and of course Bobby Davro who made the evening extra special. To enquire about having me along to your community group or theatre please email: andy@andynewbold.com

I have been working with Caroline Dinenage MP and Sophie's Legacy to highlight an important milestone for the charity Sophie's Legacy, which was created in memorial of Sophie Fairall and the legacy of change she wanted to create.

Sophie had just turned 9 when she was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma in September 2020. During her treatment, she endured 9 rounds of intense chemotherapy and 7 weeks of radiotherapy.

Sophie never managed to get into remission and in June 2021, after only eight weeks on a programme of maintenance chemotherapy, she relapsed. With no treatment options left Sophie passed away aged 10, in September 2021, just 1 year after her diagnosis.

Sophie’s Legacy today (Wednesday 4th Fen 2026) welcomes the publication of the GOVERNMENT’S 10-YEAR CANCER PLAN, marking a major milestone in the fight to transform outcomes and experiences for children and young people with cancer.

For more than four and a half years, founder Charlotte Fairall and local MP Caroline Dinenage have campaigned tirelessly to ensure that childhood cancer is no longer overlooked in national policy. Since December 2021, Charlotte and Caroline have met every Health Secretary and Health Minister across multiple governments, pressing for urgent reform and refusing to allow children’s cancer to fall off the political agenda.

Their efforts led to the first-ever debate in the House of Commons on childhood cancer, bringing national attention to the injustices families face, from long diagnostic delays, to financial pressures, to unacceptable variation in care across the country.

Today, the publication of the 10-Year Cancer Plan represents the culmination of years of determination, advocacy, and unwavering commitment.

“We never gave up and today proves why that mattered.”

Charlotte Fairall, Founder of Sophie’s Legacy, said:

“When Sophie died, I promised her I would fight for change so that no other child or family would experience what she did. For four and a half years, Caroline and have pushed through every meeting, every setback, and every moment where the door could easily have closed on us.

Today’s plan shows that our voices and the voices of families across the UK have finally been heard. Sophie’s legacy lives on in these commitments, and this is only the beginning.”

Supporting the Oldest Civic Role in the UK - Managing the High Sheriff's Digital Presence.

I am very honoured to work with the High Sheriff of Surrey as his PR and Media Advisor and photographer.

I have covered eight Shrieval years in the role and a few more as a freelance photographer when needed.

The role of High Sheriff is the oldest secular Office in the UK after the Crown, dating back to Saxon days and these days is largely a ceremonial position. My job is to photograph the official events such as the Installation, garden [arty, service for the judiciary and judiciary dinner, manage the content of the website and social media including posting the High Sheriff's blogs, and work with the High Sheriff on projects where needed. It is a role I very much enjoy and am proud to be part of the team which includes Caroline Breckell MVO DL who is the Under Sheriff of Surrey, and Alison Burrows - The High Sheriff's PA.

This years High Sheriff (March 2025-26), is Mr Peter Cluff and his theme for the year is shining a light on young people who are not in education, employment or training. He has commissioned research by the University of Surrey’s Centre for Britain and Europe to examine the different cohorts of young people that are (or who are at risk of becoming) 'NEET' in the County, with a view to developing targeted and earlier interventions, to help ensure these young people have a better economic and social future. Find out more about this, the role, his many county visits and his predecessors HERE.

This is an example of digital campaign material which I produce for many pf my clients - you can donate below using the QR code if you like too - it will help two very important Surrey Organisations - 'Guildford Philanthropy' and 'The High Sheriff Youth Awards'. TESTIMONIALS

'Digital Photography - A one day wonder workshop for building knowledge of process and application.

Our group were left with the entry level understanding and higher level sense of confidence that has enabled us to practice and improve - creating website and press worthy images for our charity.  Would certainly recommend. Thank you! '

Susanna Plummer, Head of Marketing & Communications, Watts Gallery - Artists’ Village

'Andy is a truly talented photographer who has created some wonderful family pictures to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. We all had such fun and he was absolutely great with the kids. Andy was also our wedding photographer 13 years ago, so it was lovely to reconnect and for him to be part of another special occasion. Thank you so much Andy.'  Mickey Huggins

'It’s hard to believe it’s only a week since we did the very enjoyable hoot on a cold foggy day in Farnham.

When I looked out first thing in the morning I thought this is not going to be a good day for a shoot, but how wrong I was. Most photographers don’t like having their own photo taken and I am definitely one of those, so hearty congratulations on making it feel easy, relaxed and such a success for the outputs, which I will definitely be using shortly on all my marketing materials.'  Read more   Kate Lloyd

I’ve just had a proper look through your photographs. I think they are absolutely brilliant! They completely capture every single element of the evening and they are so good to remind Peter and I elements of the evening that we might not have fully absorbed.

You are clearly a first class photographer and a very kind and lovely man. Thank you too for your help with the Polaroids and the slideshow. I do hope to work with you again. Congratulations on a fabulous job.
